Completely flat (0°) spreading board, made for people who frame their specimens. Handmade in my small workshop in Slovakia. I've been making spreading boards for over 15 years and I set every butterfly I collect on them.
On an angled board the wing tips end up higher than the body, and in a shallow frame they press against the glass. A butterfly set flat lies in one plane and doesn't touch the glass.
- XPS foam, 0° (completely flat), length 39.5 cm
- S: side panels 6 cm, groove 10 mm (wingspan up to 13 cm)
- M: side panels 8 cm, groove 15 mm (wingspan up to 18 cm)
- L: side panels 10 cm, groove 20 mm (wingspan up to 23 cm)
- Hawkmoth: side panels 7 cm, groove 17 mm (for hawkmoths with thick bodies)
The butterflies in the photos are not included, they only show the size.
Need a different size? I can adjust the board and groove dimensions, for example for moths like Noctuidae. Just send me a message here.
Shipping: 4.90 EUR to Europe, 7.90 EUR worldwide. Additional items ship free in the same parcel. Shipped from Slovakia.
Cheers,
Chris
